The VIII International Forum of Technological Development "Technoprom - 2021" was held in Novosibirsk from 25 to 27 August.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko, who headed the organizing committee for the forum, at the plenary session "Digital transformation of science based on data - the driver of Russia's leadership in research and development" noted that the goal of "Technoprom" is to change modern science, using all opportunities for digital transformation, to make the goal-setting process more specific. More than 1 trillion rubles from the state budget have been allocated for the development of science in Russia, which requires a rational approach to their spending.

The Deputy Prime Minister also presented the Unified Science Service Platform, which the government intends to create in the coming years. “It will provide access to the profiles of researchers, create opportunities for joint research and facilitate the interaction of science with the real sector of the economy. We will also create conditions for scientists to acquire digital skills at the stage of training or during advanced training, ”explained Dmitry Chernyshenko.

Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov noted that the country needs systemic scientific research focused on the climate agenda. It is not for nothing that the key topic of the forum was “green economy”.

“This kind of research has been going on for over a century, but today our task is to unite scattered research teams. Therefore, we decided to launch a new project, carbon polygons. These are unique territories where the scientific foundations for monitoring greenhouse gases will be formed, ”the head of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science announced.

The theme of Technoprom-2021 was set by the Year of Science and Technology, within which the event took place. 7 business tracks dedicated to education, megascience, digitalization, green economy, scientific and technological development, technology transfer and cooperation of science and industry worked on the forum site for three days.

“By the beginning of the third day, the number of forum participants reached 1,700 people, and these are only those who attended in person. Hundreds of participants joined the online workshops, both as speakers and listeners. In total, the forum broadcasts gathered more than 40 thousand online views, "- summed up the preliminary results of the Governor of the Novosibirsk Region Andrey Travnikov.

Within the framework of Technoprom-2021, the XII Siberian Forum "Industry of Information Systems", the I National Forum for Technology Transfer, and the XV Siberian Venture Fair were also held. Entrepreneurs saw and tested innovative and technological solutions at a specialized exhibition.

The main value of Technoprom is its practical importance in the development of a dialogue between science, business and the state. For the 8th year already, Technoprom has become an effective platform for discussing the most important issues of the country's technological development, obtaining expert assessments and making recommendations, ”said Irina Manuilova, Deputy Governor of the Novosibirsk Region.

As a reminder, NIIPKU took an active part in the event. In particular, the general director of NIIKPU N.V. Vezirov spoke at the round table "Modern Russian technologies as a driver of regional development", which we wrote about earlier.
