November 17, 2020 Director of NIIKPU took part in the online conference - the energy dialogue of the American-Russian Chamber of Commerce on the topic "The state of energy and its future."
The Energy Dialogue was moderated by John W. Gibson, President and CEO of Flotek Industries, ex-Chairman of the Energy Technology Division of Tudor, Pickering, Holt & amp; Company and Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan.
The Energy Dialogue was attended by:
- Mark A. Getvey, Chief Financial Officer, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, PAO NOVATEK;
- Sederic Kremers, Executive Vice President and Chairman of the Shell Russia;
- Sandy Esslemont, President and Chief Executive Officer, Parker Drilling Company;
- Matthew J. Sagers, Executive Director of Oil and Gas, IHS Markit.
Panellists discussed several topics, including global LNG demand, energy sustainability, energy availability and security, energy transition, OPEC + and the future of the oil and gas industry.
Lively discussion among the panellists also centered around the following issues:
- What can make energy stronger?
- What will be the growth rates of alternative energy sources?
- How to get investors back into production?
More than 120 specialists took part in the Q&A session.
