NII KPU acted as a partner of the Digital Transformation Forum held on March 12, 2019. in the framework of the annual Russian Business Week.

The experts discussed the formation of state corporations in digital transformations and the organization of their work in state corporations and companies with state participation.

The panel session was chaired by the Chairman of the RSPP Committee on Digital Economy, President of Rostelecom, Mikhail Oseevsky.

Deputy Prime Minister Maxim Akimov recalled that digital transformation gives Russia a chance to bridge the gap in labor productivity, "which separates us from world economies." He stressed that digitalization is the basic business processes that are conducted today by engineering departments of companies.

State data management in priority sectors, such as technology, will help avoid a monopoly, said Maxim Akimov.

“It is very attractive to provide exclusive access to data to leaders appointed by the state in some areas. Especially in the priority areas of technological development, this will happen inevitably, it will lead to the monopolization of markets, someone will receive a priority in data access. Hence, the task is to properly regulate the circulation of data in state information systems, ”he said.

Successful digitalization practices were presented by representatives of ER Telecom Holding, SAP, Siemens. Kamaz General Director Sergey Kogogin emphasized that today “the production process is impossible without digitalization”. Andrei Sharonov, President of the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo, talked about training programs for specialists in digital transformation.

The head of the Post of Russia, Nikolai Podguzov, stated that the Post of Russia is doomed to digitalization.

“6 million people use postal services every day. These customers need a service. If we do not provide it, we will not survive in this competitive world, ”the Russian Post’s head stressed.

The main competitive advantage is just digitalization, and, as internal processes - a complete withdrawal from paper circulation in the back office, the use of artificial intelligence in personnel service, and the process of communication with customers. "These are electronic delivery platforms, digital products for customers. So, in August 2018, we switched from paper notifications about the possibility of receiving parcels to sms and push notifications. Already 14 million people successfully use this service and 60 percent of the registered parcels are issued in this way" - Nikolai Podguzov clarified.

Summing up the forum, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Alexander Shokhin noted that, as everyone knows, the world is changing due to digital transformation very quickly, but as for Russia, its readiness for digital transformation is not enough to achieve the goals set in the corresponding national project. At the same time, Alexander Shokhin stressed that the business took part in creating the regulatory framework for digitalization - in 2020 several dozen projects will be drawn up as laws.

Recall NII KPU since 2014. He is active in the status of a member of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Institute’s experts are members of the Corporate Relations Committee of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
