On April 10, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of NII KPU took part in the meeting of the Interim Commission of the Council of the Federation on the implementation of parliamentary control over the implementation of the comprehensive plan for the modernization and expansion of the trunk infrastructure for the period until 2024 in terms of transport infrastructure.

One of the important issues discussed during the meeting, which are the focus of the NII KPU study, was the development of the infrastructure for the production and marketing of liquefied natural gas (LNG) as a more economical and environmentally friendly fuel.

The commission members agreed with the initiatives of the State Company Avtodor in parallel with the development of roads to ensure the creation of a modern road and transport infrastructure — multifunctional road service areas and a network of gas stations, including CNG and LNG.
